I had a sedan but it was too ugly to love.
It had too many issues that I couldn’t afford to fix so I sold it after a few months. But the handling, seats, and lazy powertrain were nice. It was the 5 speed manual w/o overdrive, up until that point I didn’t know a clutch could take that long to engage. The hole in the muffler gave it that rally car rasp. Really what I miss is that soft suspension and amazing seats.

If you can’t handle me at my worst, you don’t deserve me at my best! - Volvo 740

I drove a 940 turbo wagon for a number of years. It was a good balance of practicality and fun. If you can find a brick that’s not too old or worn, do it.

Lots of wagons look like a sedan that they tacked on an extra bit of roof and a window - I’m looking at you, Honda Accord wagons. This one, though, the sedan looks like a wagon that’s been chopped down.

That’s exactly what I want is the turbo wagon, hell I’d go for a worn one just as long as it ran consistently (because my old one would start only under certain conditions)

Damn! Look what you’ve started. Now I’m searching CL for old Volvo bricks.

This one is begging for a 2JZ swap.

A 240 or 740 wagon is on my short list of cars-to-have for sure.
